This week, AAP MP Sanjay Singh was released from Tihar jail after a six-month period of imprisonment related to the ongoing Delhi excise policy probe. Despite facing initial challenges, Singh expressed his resolve and bravery during his time in confinement. He recalled the difficulties of the first 11 days, confined to a small cell and restricted from stepping outside, under police security.

After engaging with jail authorities, Singh asserted his rights as a normal prisoner, leading to improvements in his conditions. He mentioned being allowed access to facilities like the music room and badminton court at designated times. Singh also took advantage of his time in jail to read extensively, delving into the writings of influential figures like Nelson Mandela, Mahatma Gandhi, Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia, and Bhagat Singh.

Upon his release, Singh was greeted with enthusiastic cheers and slogans from supporters outside Tihar jail. Visuals shared online captured the moment as Singh addressed the gathered crowd from atop a vehicle, emphasizing his resilience and unwavering morale throughout his incarceration.
